True, there is a huge number of poo...Hi Monideepa,<br /><br />True, there is a huge number of poor people in India. That's often underestimated, since we hear about always only about the rich. The extent of poverty is so much, that even people in public service can only think of their well-being before they can think of others!<br /><br />But I also think one section of people, who may not go about in flashy cars or flaunt fashionable clothes and gadgets, may be living happily.<br /><br />After all, happiness is no way proportional to one's income. I have seen people with high income languishing in debt.<br /><br />It's greed that brings in misery. The moment "wants" start dictating terms, and one loses sight of "needs", the downfall begins. <br /><br />Money rules, but we need not be enslaved to it.<br /><br />Public servants are corrupt, because they are greedy and their aim is not serve the public.<br /><br />I don't think bygone days were any different, but its scale is bigger now.Pradeep Nairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04873369124947878452noreply@blogger.com
